mad hatter tea party

Last weekend was my niece Zoe's 11th birthday party...
When asked what kind of party she wanted she expressed  a mad hatter tea party..
She is so in love with Johnny Depp from the Tim Burton Alice wonderland movie

So I put together a tea party on my deck for her birthday bash. It was a gorgeous spring day a lil bit breezy but it was so nice to have the sun shinning..

First thing I went through the house and collected all my "well to be truthful" I took some of my teapots I have around the house and used them for decorations and flower wreaths and garlands and these cute paper lanterns I picked up at the dollar store "2" lanterns for a dollar you can't beat that price..( I'm so in love with the dollar store)

Also streamers yes from the dollar store and balloons that my dad and my other niece blew up with a helium tank we purchased for 19.99 at our local walmart. I have 2 round tables we set up on one side of the deck one for the drinks and the other one for the plastic cups, forks & paper goods..
in the middle of the tables I put this adorable banner we purchased at Target for @ 3.99 and its fabric its so stinkin cute..

We had cupcakes instead of a traditional cake which my sis-in-law came by early and saved me and iced those cupcakes a decorated them for me thank goodness for her..
How can you have a tea party without hats so we purchased these adorable top hats from oriental trading this hats were there to greet all our guests...

On the menu was alot of scrumptious goodies..
A small "candy bar" was quite a hit ...
These adorable jars I purchased last year at our local walmart were perfect to hold the candy with style..
Also a chocolate fountain which all drooled over was a lil somethin I borrowed from my sil.. Thanks to her it was the highlight!!!!
and of course here is a picture of dear Zoe....

She didn't want her picture taken but I got a snapshot any way..
And instead of tea I served punch which was very tasty...

So to my lil Zoe Poey I do hope you had a fun mad hatter party..
xoxo..
