"Life Can Be A Bit Shabby"

Easter is a bit earlier this year.. April 4th "oh my" that is just around the corner..

In my neck of the woods We have the Easter holiday at our house..

My hubby's and my family all together which is so nice..

Its a bit crazy don't get me wrong all the preparation and shopping cleaning but its all worth it..

I love having the whole family together..

Hearing all the ladies sitting around the table telling funny stories..

All the guys huddled together telling each other about their latest news..

The kids running around since they are all FULL OF SUGAR..

Seeing family members that you just haven't seen in quite awhile since some of us live so far away..

These are the times you just can't take for granted..

Now for the menu I would like to have something different this year but not quite sure what as of yet..

However will be having the usual turkey & ham mash potatoes with gravy of course ,stuffing ,my mom's famous sweet potatoes..

Which my oldest niece would absoulutly die if we didn't have meme's sweet potatoes.

Cheesy broccoli casserole and fancy green beans glazed carrots and rolls..

Everyone brings a dish or two which is really nice but I wanted to threw in a few more interesting sides just not quite sure what any ideas?

For desserts which we all love..

Was thinking I would make a carrot cake but the award winning cream puffs is everyone's favorite...

June's scrumptous cream puffs that everyone fights over.. As she comes everyone can't wait till she puts the cream puffs down then its like a football game and everyone is after the ball but in this case the ball is the creampuff..

Its all in good fun we all have such a laugh over it... Good times Good times..

Can't wait... So I better hop of this puter and get busy...

Busy Busy Busy..
I'm planning a tea party for my nieces 10th birthday this Sat..
( I will post pictures soon)... With working 40 hours a week and the usual daily life stuff it really doesn't leave to much time for party planning but I'm doing my best and hope she loves it... So I 'm gonna go for now to work on the small details..

How are you going to spend your special day?

Hubby and I will be working all day and that evening I will make us somethin special to eat and sit and cuddle for a while then off to sleep we go morning comes so fast and off to work we go....

Well its been quite cold here in South Jersey...

Once again we got more snow more to come tomorrow...

I do love the look of the glistening snow upon all the trees and the

yard but driving around in it well that is a different story...

So I stayed inside bundled up under my fav blanket and watch

some of my fav movies and just relaxed... Made some beef stew in

my crockpot for my hubby who was out shoveling snow

so he could get warm inside since it was so bitterly cold...

Let's see what tommorrow brings....

I can't Believe its Feburary...

Only a few days till Valentines Day..Hubby and I really don't go crazy over valentines day.. We usually go out to dinner & maybe the movies a couple days after..

On Valentines Day itself I will make my hubby fav meal and get one of his favorite flicks and some POPCORN and we will just sit back and relax and "lay like broccoli"..

Do you know what movie that lines from one of my all time favs PRETTY WOMAN.. Boy what a cinderalla movie for grownup girls that is.. Well maybe I can convince hubby to watch this one too. That gets me thinking there are more of my favs I would love to watch too.. Maybe I will make this weekend a "romance- a- thon" bring out all those girly movies that would be alot of fun...

Laundry..

Laundry...

Geez.. I swear this stuff just still comes..

No matter how many loads I do I turn around and there is more..

The horrid laundry monster needs to stop!!!!

I don't know about you gals but this is one chore

I simply dread...

and the worst part after folding it is putting it away..

There never seems to ever enough room...

Enough with that well I'm starting to do some spring cleaning..

Taking down the curtains and washing them..

Boy its so refreshing they smell so nice..

Bringing old treasures to a new light..

Being frugal with not spending a dime but want a new look just finding new purposes and places for my old trinkets its quite fun... I simply fall in love with them all over again..

Next project will be I want to paint some furniture and accessories so that means well gotta have room to do that so here it comes Gotta clean out the garage..

All good thing must come to a end sorry my lil dust bunny friends you gotta get outta there..

After that I'm gonna tackle my craft room cause right now its just not too inspiring..

I wanna my real girly room..

Full of pink and flowers and most of all frills..

Well gotta go and get on my way to that list of to do's..

Well it is that time to take down all the Christmas decor..

Boy how I dread this...

For a FEW main reasons...

One is that means dragging in all those dreadful totes

un-packing my everyday stuff..

Yes I do pack up all my usual nick-knacks as my hubby would call my"junk"..

I simply explain those are my trinkets so get used to them they are staying and there is more to come...

Another one is well this means the holiday is officially over which is Soooo Sad... I love looking at the decorations those beautiful twinkling lights and the beautiful ornaments hanging on the tree all the bows and beautiful garlands hanging above my windows and pictures...

But one thing is for sure I will be looking forward to NEXT YEAR...

So my plan is to use this weekend I'm off from work to transform my home back...
